5Eleven Palafox is one of my most favorite wedding venues in Pensacola. It is right in the heart of downtown Pensacola and features the most beautiful exposed brick walls, charming courtyard, and stunning bridal loft. Its just a dream wedding venue, so I was thrilled when Shelby and Alex choose it for their big day. They had the most beautiful ceremony on the courtyard and a stunning tented reception on the side lawn.

Shelby – “I wore a Paloma Blanca gown that I fell in love with the second I tried it on. I also wore loeffler randall heels that were gifted to me by Alex’s mom! A high pony because it is fun and so me, and Amelie George earrings!”
“We wanted our wedding to be the perfect mix of Alex and I. Neither of us are super traditional, so we wanted the feel to be super laid back but the most fun night of our lives!!”
Shelby… “I love my bridesmaids!!! They are the girls who made who I am today and are truly my sisters.”
Alex… “I wanted the guys who are the most important people in my life standing up there with me including my dad.”
“Alex’s Grandmother married myself and Alex. We asked her to write the ceremony based on love and faith.”
What were some of sweetest memories of your wedding day?
“I had no intention of reading the letter I wrote Alex while we were during our first look, but it was such an incredible moment. Also having our ceremony officiated by Alex’s grandmother is a memory none of us will forget.”
What was your first dance song and why did you choose it for your first dance as husband and wife?
“Coming Home by Leon Bridges. It’s the perfect mix of modern and old school soul which truly is Alex and it’s favorite kind of music.”
What was one of the funnest moments from your wedding day?
“We got up on the stage and danced with the band!!”
Shelby’s advice: “Be present and soak up every single moment of the most wonderful day of your life.”
Alex’s advice: “It’s ok to be nervous, and the second you see them, your nerves go out the door!”
