Wedding at Pensacola’s Museum of Commerce
Ok, Jackie and Matt might be one of the coolest, quirkiest, and fun couples on the face of the earth. They are full of laughs and jokes and are so perfect for each other. When I met them for their engagement photos, which you can see here, we had the best time walking around downtown Pensacola and then down at Pensacola Beach for the sunset. I could totally see that they were crazy for each other and had something super special. As we continued to chat during their planning process and then meet up to go over final details, I got more and more excited about their wedding day. I could already tell it was going to one of my favorite weddings ever and that I would never forget it and man, I was right. Make sure and scroll all the way through their photos; their wedding got crashed in the most awesome way EVER!
I started the day at Jackie’s parent’s house where she and all her gorgeous bridesmaids got ready. Her mom and sister helped her into her dress and her shoes and jewelry were all so absolutely perfect; she couldn’t have picked out anything better. Then she came downstairs for the best bridesmaids reveal I have ever seen.
Next we met Matt at The Mission Anglican Church for his and Jackie’s first look and then had the sweetest ceremony. I just ADORE the shot of Jackie being walked down the aisle by her dad and the way he is looking over at her. Made my heart completely melt.
Jackie and Matt rented a trolley to drive their wedding party around during photos. So cute!!! And how about those skirts and gorgeous tops Jackie picked out for her girls? LOVE! And Matt and his boys with their gray and tan? Yes please! Oh, and cool socks. Though, not planned at all, that’s just how cool they all are.
Jackie chose this stunning gown from The Sentimentalist, a designer and vintage dress shop in Atlanta that works with small, independent North American designers who tend toward a vintage, bohemian, and slightly alternative aesthetic. Soooooo perfect for Jackie. I think she was the most stoked about the front slit of the dress cause of all the dancing she had planned for the reception. 🙂 Oh! And look at these gorgeous bouquets. The bridesmaids bouquets were designed by Jackie’s sister in law and her Bridal bouquet by the always amazing, Sunshine Designs.
Ok, when I moved to Pensacola, I was sooooo in love with Pensacola’s downtown and it’s history. One of those places being The Museum of Commerce. The first time I walked inside my jaw dropped. A city in the 1890’s living inside a warehouse? Coolest place ever. So, naturally, when Jackie said that was where she would be having her wedding reception, I had to try to keep my cool and not freak out. I was sooooo excited. I love it there.
Ok, so as you can tell, their reception was epic. Dancing, dancing, and more dancing. UNTIL Jackie’s college party animal alter ego, Bonnie, decided to crash the wedding. Yes, you read that right. Jackie’s alter ego, a super stylist woman named Bonnie, decided to show up by surprise and tore it up on the dance floor for a bit before disappearing for the rest of the night. Everyone lost their MINDS! haha!
Fun Fact: Matt actually met Bonnie BEFORE he met Jackie. 🙂 How cool is that?! So, it was only fitting that she show up to their wedding, if only for a little bit.
And just like that, she was gone. Resume normal dancing photos.
