Orlando Temple Wedding with Backyard Reception

Warning: This post is going to be really long. Why? Cause my little brother; he got married at the Orlando Temple in Orlando last month and it was gorgeous and amazing and I love him, Emma and Jake and I just can’t help but want to post waaaaaay more photos than I probably should. 🙂

My whole entire family, all 27 of us (yes, that’s just my parents, the kids and our families… not extended family. There’s lots of us.) went down to Orlando for a little family vacation, and most importantly, my little brother’s wedding! We went down a couple days early and all spent the day at Universal Studios. Fun Fact about Erika – I LOVE roller coasters and amusement parks!!!  We all had so much fun. Then the next day we went to the Orlando Temple for Chris and Emma’s ceremony. If you don’t know what the Orlando Temple is, you can learn more about that here. It is so beautiful; everything is so white, and bright, and absolutely breathtaking. If you don’t know much about LDS temple weddings, the ceremony takes place inside the temple and photography is not allowed inside; but my camera was ready and waiting when the ceremony was finished. After all the family photos were finished, then I stole Chris, Emma and Jake away for a little while to wander the grounds for some photos.

Chris and Emma left from Orlando for their honeymoon, but we all met back up two weeks later at my Mom’s house for a backyard reception/open house Fiesta style. They both love Mexican food… so Mexican Fiesta it was! Fun photo booth set up, mexican food, decor… it was pretty festive. Actually, now that I think about it; there was no piñata! What the heck, Mom! Where was the piñata? Or is that just a birthday thing? idk. But we had such a fun time; we just hung out and ate, played ladder golf, corn hole, and ping pong. They had the most beautiful and delicious cake from ChunkyMonkey Cakes and afterward jumped into my parent’s pool (which I actually missed cause I was inside the house, so I had them jump in again!) and had their first dance. It was so much fun and I am so happy that Emma and cute little Jake are a part of our family. Love them so much!
