Downtown Pensacola Proposal
Abby contacted me at the beginning of this month; she wanted photos of her and her boyfriend with their two pups for Christmas cards. We got it all planned out. We’d meet downtown and just walk around Downtown Pensacola… wandering from park to park and taking photos along the way. Then, about a week before, I got an email from Cory. He told me that he’d like to propose to Abby during their session. How perfect of an opportunity is that?! When guys contact me about wanting me there to shoot their proposal, figuring out all the details, how I’ll know it’s them, and where I’m going to hide to capture it takes quite a bit of back and forth and planning. With Cory, their Christmas Card session was the perfect disguise.
This was the plan… we’d walk around downtown taking photos and then we’d end up at the Palafox Pier where Cory would get down on one knee to ask Abby to be his wife. We met in Downtown Pensacola at Seville Square with their two adorable fur babies, walked around downtown, went to Ferdinand Plaza and then out to the Pier. If Cory was nervous, you couldn’t tell at all. In all honesty, I almost forgot that he would be proposing at the end when I first met him. Cool as a cucumber. 🙂 When we got to the pier, we shot a few photos and Cory gave me a little nod that it was time, I showed Abby the photos we had just taken on my camera and when she turned back around, Cory was down on one knee. I may or may not have cried right along with the both of them.
